Dr. Dustin Schmid is a Los Angeles native that received his DVM in 2012 from Kansas State University. He went on to complete a rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles and Residency at VCA West Coast and became board certified in emergency and critical care in 2016. His professional interest include sepsis, poly-trauma, coagulopathies, and shock.

In his free time, Dr. Schmid is an avid traveler and has visited 45+ countries on 6 continents. He loves to sail and a dream of his to circumnavigate the globe by sailboat in his lifetime. He has a Bernese Mountain Dog, two cats, and two kids that he lounges with at home on his days off.
