Stephanie Cano was born and raised in LA, a true Southern California native. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science from UC Davis 2004, Stephanie started as a veterinary assistant at a local general practice in 2005. Stephanie went back to school to attend the Veterinary Technology A.S. program and graduated from Pierce College in 2007, obtaining her RVT license in 2008. Stephanie transitioned into emergency/critical care in 2010 and never looked back. Working part-time in ECC and part-time in cardiology, Stephanie realized she has a deep passion for emergency nursing. This led her to train and obtain her prestigious Veterinary Technician Specialist certification in Emergency and Critical Care in 2014. Around the same time Stephanie was promoted to Emergency Department Manager and has overseen the emergency department at VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley since then. Stephanie is excited to bring her immense knowledge of ECC, and her love of mentorship and training to Team LAASER! When not at work Stephanie to read and write, take photographs, go hiking and see live concerts and musical theater!
