Recruiting and Training Manager
Sabine’s career began in small general practice hospitals where she worked as a veterinary assistant (prior to obtaining her RVT license) and quickly moved up into technician management positions. Sabine then decided to look for work in specialty medicine as she sought to grow her skills as a technician. Sabine accepted a position at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Culver City, where she acquired advanced skill sets in several departments including ER/ICU, IM/IR, Cardiology, Neurology, and even Surgery/Anesthesiology. During this time, she obtained her R.V.T. license through the Alternate Route program. Her career progressed at ACCESS from holding department lead positions to eventually being a key component in the creation of the first company-wide training program. Having had the exposure to so many specialties and realizing her love for teaching and training, it was fortunate that her next step could be mentorship and training of her teammates.
Through her role as a trainer, Sabine’s new focus became onboarding new hires, hosting CE events, and training and mentoring staff members. She strived to establish a clear sense of support and community amongst the current staff, where career progression and cross training was prevalent. Training and Education has now become the focus of Sabine’s career. As such, she has currently pursued coursework in training and development and completed her RECOVER BLS and ALS coursework. She is excited to continue building relationships and supporting staff in her role as Support Staff Recruiting and Training Manager at LAASER.
