Dr. Steven Centola

BVMS, MRCVS, DACVECC

Dr. Steven J. Centola, BVMS, MRCVS, DACVECC, is a board-certified Emergency and Critical Care veterinarian. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Florida in 2009. He worked as a veterinary technician for two years prior to applying to veterinary school. Dr. Centola graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Upon graduation, he went on to complete a one-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in New York City. He continued his pursuit of advanced veterinary training by completing a three-year residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Centola thoroughly enjoys understanding the pathophysiology associated with critical care diseases. His veterinary and professional interests include transfusion medicine, acute kidney injury, extracorporeal medicine, sepsis, shock, and training the next generation of veterinarians. Dr. Centola enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exercising, visiting new restaurants, the outdoors, and learning piano.
