Brock Bartimus
BA, CFVP, Therapies Department Manager
Brock was born and raised in Anaheim, California. He left Southern California and attended California State University, Monterey Bay. During his last year of college, Brock participated in an internship in animal care with California Sea Lions at a teaching aquarium on the central coast. This sparked his interest working with animals, and after graduating with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, he decided to pursue a career in animal care.
Brock moved to Los Angeles in 2013, where he began his career working with companion animals at a specialty veterinary rehabilitation clinic. He comes to LAASER with 9 years of experience, having worked a variety of roles in the animal rehabilitation field, as well as 5 years of management experience. Brock’s favorite part of being a manager is having the opportunity to train staff to help make painful pets feel more comfortable utilizing a conservative approach and ensuring the pets have a positive experience during treatment.
Brock enjoys spending his free time outdoors, with friends or lounging at home with his senior Jack Russel/Whippet mix named Squid. Brock also volunteers his free time at the Los Angeles Zoo and completed an internship hand raising a flock of ambassador flamingos in 2019. He is excited to contribute his knowledge, experience, and skills to the Rehabilitation and Integrative Medicine department at LAASER.
